Students at Simpson County Technical Center recently made a visit to Milwaukee Tool in Jackson, a respected national manufacturer of heavy-duty power tools, hand tools, instruments, and accessories for skilled tradesmen.
Second-year students in the metal fabrication, construction/carpentry, and polymer science programs toured the facility, which focuses on industrial design, engineering, rapid prototyping testing and manufacturing.
Students were informed about available jobs such as machine operations, technicians and management roles. They also enjoyed watching
all the robotics through Artificial Intelligence and novel sensor application techniques providing tracking, security, logging, and smart tool configuration functions.
