During the month of March, Simpson County Technical Center is featuring its Business Marketing and Finance programs.

Business, Marketing and Finance is an innovative and advanced secondary CTE program designed to integrate the separate programs of business management, finance, and marketing into one creative, challenging, and comprehensive pathway. The course is aligned to the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards for Economics, with various aspects of those standards dispersed throughout the entirety of this two-year pathway.

The course of study for the Business, Marketing, and Finance pathway emphasizes hands-on experiences to prepare students in the areas of basic fiscal responsibility, entrepreneurship, economics, marketing, management, career preparation, and/or continuing education in the field of business. This curriculum also provides students with a strong understanding of what it means to be contributing, responsible, and productive members of society now and as they mature.

These classes are offered on site at both Mendenhall and Magee High schools. The instructor for Mendenhall High School is Rachael Bourn, and the instructor for Magee High School is Jeremiah Creagh.
