SCTC CENTER FEATURES HEALTH SCIENCE PROGRAM!

Simpson County Technical Center is featuring its Health Science Program.  Pictured is Instructor, Brenda White teaching fundamental nursing skills on making a bed.  Students learned the proper way to make a hospital bed providing comfort for patients and something as simple as wrinkles in bed sheets could cause pressure leading to ulcers that can turn into bed sores.  The program helps students to find a career path in healthcare that best fits their strengths and interests.  Intense classroom instruction and hands-on experiences provide students an overview of the health care field.  Students in Health Science have the option of joining Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), which is one of the student organizations for career and technical students enrolled in this class. Mrs. White is also the HOSA sponsor for the Simpson County Technical Center,
