SCTC CENTER FEATURES AGRICULTURE & NATURAL RESOURCES!

Simpson County Technical Center is featuring its Agriculture & Natural Resources Program (AGNR).  This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and principles of modern agriculture and natural resources industry.  AGNR is life.  As long as human beings inhabit the planet, we will have a need for scientists and technicians to ensure we are responsibly managing our food production and our natural resources consumption. Students in agriculture, food and natural resources learn and practice skills that prepare them for diverse post-high school education and training opportunities, from apprenticeships and two-year college programs to four-year college and graduate programs. The student organization for agriculture, food and natural resources is FFA which is more than just a club providing opportunities for hands-on learning, and for applying for career, leaderships and personal skills in real-world environments.  Patti Braddock encourages students to build their skills by developing projects, attending events, and competing in district, state, and national competitions.
