Simpson County Schools have struggled over the past week keeping school open and in person learning. All schools have had significant high numbers of COVID. The increased numbers have caused each school to transition to teaching virtual this past week.

Teachers are attending school and teaching their virtual classes.

Below is a schedule of dates virtual learning will take place at the school sites:

  • Simpson Central: January 10-14
  • Magee High: January 11-21
  • Mendenhall Jr. High and Mendenhall High: January 12-24
  • Magee Elementary and Mendenhall Elementary: January 14-24
  • Magee Middle: January 18-25
Safety of our staff and students remain the top priority. The mask mandate was reinstated on January 12, 2022. Upon return from virtual learning the mask mandate will remain in place.
