SCS Recognizes High-Performing Students at Best and Brights Awards Program

High-performing students at Simpson Central School (SCS) were recently recognized for outstanding test scores during the school’s annual Best and Brightest Awards program.

Held on Sept. 8, the Best and Brightest Awards program recognizes SCS students who performed well on the 2022-2023 Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP), acknowledging those who scored Performance Level 4 (Proficient) or Performance Level 5 (Advanced) on one or more of their MAAP tests, including English Language Arts, Math and/or Science. SCS presented more than 130 students, from fourth to eighth grade, with certificates, medals and/or trophies for earning proficient or advanced on their state tests.
