Maintenance work continues around the county at the local schools. The roof at the Simpson County Technical Center is being replaced. During a school inspection by the school board earlier in the year the need of a roof was pointed out. The board approved to roof replaced during the summer break.

The school county maintenance department has been busy replacing and making needed repairs around the schools over the summer months.

School is right around the corner. A few reminders students must have immunizations up to day. Remember that Tdap vaccinations are required for all seventh graders entering school in the fall. This became a requirement for Mississippi in 2012.

All new and returning students are required to register before being allow to attend school.

You can register by visiting www.simpson.k12.ms.us and clicking the new or returning student registration link, or by accessing your PowerSchool Parent Portal at www.simpson.powerschool.com/public.

School starts August 7, 2019.
