Magee and Mendenhall schools were not the only schools to receive bomb threats Tuesday. According to law enforcement, 9-10 bomb threats were called in to schools across the state of Mississippi.
For Simpson County Schools (Magee and Mendenhall) the calls were made directly to the schools. The calls appeared to be a recorded voice and stated a bomb was located in the school building. All calls to the Mississippi schools were received approximately the same time.
A bomb threat is very serious business and does cost taxpayers. Anyone charged with a bomb threat faces a felony. FBI is involved in the investigation of the statewide bomb threats.
