Simpson County School Board met Thursday, May 12, 2016 for their regular scheduled monthly meeting. Doris Perkins, President, call the meeting to order.

Agenda and Minutes were approved.

Board recognized Abigail Myers for her work with Relay for Life, also both band directors from Magee and Mendenhall, Marbeth Gray and Mark Hudson, were recognized for the great job they had accomplished this year. Both bands did well at competitions receiving superior rating.

Debbie Davis presented the MKAS –MS K-3 Assessment Support System.

Tom Duncan with Vic Jones present program Mr. Jones and his students have been involved with this year. A slide show was shown about student, Kelsey Sheppard.

Misty Hanna presented the parent involvement policy and CFPA.

Under the consent Agenda a bus turnaround was approved and Mendenhall High School request permission to accept donation of $3,500 for Priority One Bank for advertisement signs.
