At the January 4, 2022 Board of Aldermen meeting, Deputy Fire Marshal Shane Steele appeared before the board explaining a scam happening in Magee.  The elderly are the target of a man not cleaning up trees which have been cut in their yard. The resident has paid the person for the work.  The problem first arose in Ward 4 in the Goodwater Community.  Now, the situation has moved to 9th Avenue and Cherry Street.

If you feel you have been scammed, contact the Magee Police Department. (601-849-2366).
