On Thursday, January 24, the SCA Cougars faced the Hartfield Hawks at home. The night saw both Varsity teams securing big district victorys over the Hawks. The varsity girls came out of the gates running, securing a comfortable lead by the end of the first quarter. The Lady Cougars would go on to win with a final score 79-48.
The Cougars fought hard against Hartfield and would go on to win with a final score of 58-37. As the Cougars played, the student section, which was themed beach, cheered them on all night long! The Cougars will be on the road next week facing Copiah Tuesday, and then returning home to face Lamar on Friday. Below are the current district rankings released by Simpson Academy on Twitter.
