Simpson County Academy held its 2020-2021 Mississippi Association of Independent Schools Honor Society induction ceremony on March 8th. 46 new members in grades 7-12 were inducted at the ceremony which was presided over by Sponsor Mrs. Gina Williams and Headmaster Nick Lee.
The purposes of the Honor Society are :

To promote academic achievement

To create an enthusiasm for scholarship

To stimulate a desire to render service

To encourage the development of character
To be eligible for membership in the MAIS and SCA Honor Society high school members must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or better and junior high members must maintain a 95 or above cumulative grade average. In addition to the academic requirements, students must demonstrate a desire and a commitment to community service. Character requirements include integrity, positive behavior, ethics, cooperation, reliability in the community and school, and maturity in the classroom.
Simpson County Academy 2020-2021 Honor Society officers include : Caroline White, President; Madelyn Harris, Vice-President; and Keely Davis,Secretary-Treasurer. Membership in the Honor Society is a significant academic honor as well as a personal achievement. These students epitomize the attributes that produce well-rounded, productive, citizens. By modeling the purposes of the Honor Society, other students and citizens may be encouraged to do the same.
