The boys and girls Simpson basketball teams played in the quarter-finals of the State Tournament. The boys played Tuesday against the East Rankin Patriots and won by 25 with a final score of 65-40. The girls played on Wednesday against Washington, and they won with a final score of 64-31. The tournament will resume on Friday with the girls facing Pillow and the boys playing Lamar. Come out and support the Cougars on Friday and let’s send both Cougar teams to the State Championship Game! The girls play at 1:00 and the boys play at 7:15.
