Although the Cougars of Simpson Academy ended their season with a 36-7 defeat…these guys have no reason to hang their heads.
The 2015-16 Cougar team probably showed as much spirit, kinship, grit, determination, and love of the game as any team to have ever “passed” through the halls of Simpson Academy.
When giving up would have been easy, this team reached deep…dug deeper…and kept on pushing.
Sometimes a team doesn’t always win on the score board…they win in the game of life…the game of learning to live life…I imagine this team, the cheerleaders, students, and parents have been changed forever by the experience of “fighting” to be the best.
I am proud of the Cougars. I am proud of the cheerleaders. I am proud of the student body. I am proud of the coaches. I am proud of the parents. I am proud to be a Cougar.
Theodore Roosevelt said
towards life…
“Far better it is to dare mighty things in the effort to win glorious triumphs even through checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory or defeat.
