The theme for National Hospital Week of 2017 was “The Healing Heart of Healthcare”.  MGH employees enjoyed a week long full of activities.

The yearly MGH Picnic was held on Friday, May 12th with a meal of BBQ Ribs, Sausage, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, and Banana Pudding and drink.  Activities leading up to the big MGH Picnic included: Monday–Breakfast donuts, Tuesday–Nacho Bar, Wednesday–Cookies and Lemonade, and Thursday, Pizza.

The Service Pins and Employee of the Year began at 1pm on in the MGH Lobby.  Opening Prayer was led by Eddy Mahaffey.  MGH CEO, Amy Tolliver, spoke briefly before the awards concerning healthcare and how MGH employees works as a team.

The 2017 Magee General Hospital Employee of the Year is…….Santrilla Bailey!!!

 Santrilla has been employed as a Phlebotomist for Magee General Hospital since October 1997.  Santrilla starts her days early before her scheduled duties at MGH with her off site Phlebotomist task at Hillcrest Nursing Center as well as off site drug screen collections for the area county schools both are services provided by MGH.

 Santrilla has been nominated several times for employee of the quarter at MGH.

 According to Magee General’s Laboratory Director, Tanya Magee, Santrilla is an outstanding employee that works well with others and is a positive influence for MGH.  (Tanya is pictured with Santrilla)

 Santrilla comes highly recommended and requested by many patients.  She always shares her smile and testimony of faith with her fellow employees and patients.

 Santrilla resides in Georgetown with her husband, Ronnie Bailey.  She has 3 children, Menyata Mallard, Courtney Newsome, and Corey Newsome, who is graduating from Crystal Springs High School next Friday night.   Santrilla is the proud grandmother of Addison Williams and Ayden Williams.

 Santrilla received a certificate, a check, and a day PTO time.

 Congratulations to everyone’s friend at Magee General Hospital, Santrilla Bailey!!!
