Sandra Anderson Rankin, a lifelong resident of Magee, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born on April 27, 1951, to William Howard Anderson and Helen Kennedy Anderson. Sandra was known for her vibrant spirit, loving heart, and unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Sandra graduated from Magee High School in 1969. During that time, she was honored as the Simpson County Junior Miss. She continued her education at The University of Southern Mississippi, where she was a proud member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Following college, Sandra and her husband, James Ronnie Rankin, worked side by side for seventeen years running Rankin Wholesale. Later, Sandra worked for the Simpson County School District in Food Services, always giving of herself to those around her.

Sandra was an active and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Magee. Her faith and love for her community were evident in how she lived. She enjoyed watching baseball and football, spending time traveling with her family, especially to the beach and mountains, and was a constant presence at her grandchildren’s activities. She also found great joy in caring for her dog, Odie, who was a faithful companion.
