Samuel Dewayne “LB” Allen, 34 of Mize, MS passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, Louisiana. He was born Saturday, September 05, 1987, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until service time at Wilkinson Memorial Church at 3512 SCR 77, Mize, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Memorial Church in Mize, Mississippi. The burial will follow in Eastside Baptist Church Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Brother Larry Dennis and Brother Shane Lambert will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Samuel was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Raleigh, MS. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend. He attended Mize High School and then to Jones College, where he obtained training on automotive vehicles. He was an employee of BRV Equipment of Tchula, Mississippi. He loved his job and the friends he made while working for them. He enjoyed playing video games, deer hunting with his dogs, driving fast cars, mud riding on four wheelers, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sammy Allen; grandparents, Charles “Peel Onion” Baldwin and Lillian Thompson Baldwin; uncle, Dewayne Baldwin; and cousin, Sammy Joe.
Survivors include his loving parents, Burl and Patricia Baldwin Allen of Mize, MS; his brother, Joseph Allen (Starr) of Mize, MS; sister, Amber Blair of Taylorsville, MS; grandmother, Billie “Nanny” Allen of Taylorsville, MS; honorary grandfather, Kenny Martin; nephew, Joshua Patrick Allen of Mize, MS; niece, Destiny Rae Allen of Mize, MS; aunts, Fran Ponder of Taylorsville, MS and Denise “Nene” Baldwin of Mize, MS.
Pallbearers will be Ty Purvis, Aaron Westbrook, Justin Hynes, Thomas Greer, Perry Pettigrew, Zachary Pettigrew, Larry “Curt” Thomas, and Jerry “JJ” Hearn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Hall, Jason Purvis, Joshua Allen, Destiny Allen, Lane “No” Hall, Thomas Hall, Calvin Booth, Ben Jernigan, and all BRV Family and employees.
