Sadie Ware McCarty, 90, of Smith County, Mississippi, passed from this life Saturday July 27, 2019 at home in Smith County to go and be with her Lord and Savior. She was born Saturday, March 16, 1929.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. The Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro Will McNeece will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031.
Sadie Graduated from Magee High School in 1948. She Attended Jones College and was a graduate of South Mississippi Charity Hospital School of Nursing 1953. Sadie worked at Ellisville State School from 1953 to 1963. She worked at Magee General Hospital from 1963 till 1997. She also worked at Simpson County General Hospital from 1998 till 1999.
She was preceded in death by Parents, Jeffie and Ilva Ware, Husband of 47 years, Leo McCarty Granddaughter, Ashley McCarty, Grandson, Jesse McCarty, Siblings, Lois Maddox, Cortez Ware, Mary Ware, Sarah Anderson, and Joe Ware.
Survivors include Children, Jenifer McCarty Runnels and husband Michael, Gilton McCarty and wife Melissa, Grandchildren, Gilton McCarty Jr. and wife Lashea, Raymond Hunter McCarty and wife Morgan, Step-Grandson Phillip Michael Runnels and wife, Four Great-grandchildren.
