Russel Alan Bounds, 51 of Raleigh, MS passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, Mississippi. He was born Monday, November 22, 1971 in Jackson, Mississippi.

 Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Merchant Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Wade Mathis and Bro. Glen Hopkins will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee will be in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

 Mr. Bounds enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a former law enforcement deputy with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Department, truck driver and worked for H & P Drilling. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and adored him.

 He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla Bounds; Mother, Linda Tullos Barnard; brother, Alec Bounds; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Bounds, Mr. and Mrs. Euel Tullos, and Mr. and Mrs. Wandell Barnard.

 Survivors include his Father, Guy Bounds (Marsha) of Polkville; step-father, Jerry Barnard (Cindy) of Mendenhall, MS; girlfriend Jennifer Phillips; brothers, Kenton Bounds, and Ty Bounds; step-sons, Zachary Slawson, Ryan Graham and Trevor Phillips; step-daughter, Harlee Phillips; grandchild, Greyson Martin; grandmother, Ann Waggoner; nieces, Ashley Middleton (Brandon) and Michelle Bounds Magee; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.

  Pallbearers will be Zachary Slawson, Ryan Graham, Trevor Phillips, Matthew Tullos and Larry Meeks.
