Rupert H. Tullos Jr., 78, passed from this life on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Miss Care Center in Raleigh, MS.

Funeral services for Mr.Tullos will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Raleigh United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dianne Harms and Bro. Danny Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in North Raleigh Cemetery with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh in charge of arrangements, (601)782-4544.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh.

Mr. Tullos was born Sunday, September 12, 1937 in Raleigh. After graduating from Raleigh High School, he attended Mississippi State University then continued his education at Millsaps College where he received his bachelor’s degree. In 1957 Mr. Tullos began his professional career with Chevron at their Jackson office. After four years he transferred to the Raleigh field office, until his retirement after 41 years of service. He was a member of Raleigh United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Mississippi National Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years Frances Tullos, sons Rupert H. Tullos, III, Byram, Timothy Aaron Tullos, Laurel, and Carlton Luckey (Donna) Madison, daughter Anita Stringer (Gail), Raleigh, grandchildren Shanna Stringer, Christopher Tullos, Stephanie Lott, and Amber Grace Luckey, great grandchildren Gunner Lott, Waylon Tullos, Kylie Tullos, Karson Tullos, and Maggie Kate Tullos.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rupert H. Tullos, Sr. and Wilma Stringer Tullos, brother -Wayne Tullos, and sister Laura Tullos,

Pallbearers will be Gilbert Tullos, Robby Tullos, Don Tullos, Bert Wright, Rick Lott, Christopher Tullos, Honorary Pallbearers Billy Tadlock, Dallas Little, Sam McLaurin, Edwin Tullos,

Family and Friends may sign an online guest book at Colonial Chapel Magee and Mendenhall.
