Rudolph Pacas, Jr.
(3/26/1928 – 5/9/2024)

Rudolph (Rudy) Pacas, Jr., 96 of Mize, Mississippi, a faithful servant, entered eternal life on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the Mississippi Care Center in Raleigh. He was born March 26, 1928 in Brno, Moravia and was raised in the Eppelheim, Germany until he migrated to America in 1951.

Rudy retired from Holsum Bread after working for 45 years as a diplomaed baker. He could build anything and loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and his daylily beds presented a kaleidoscope of many colors. He was a member of the Louisiana Hemerocallis Society and registered nine varieties of daylilies, one to be named Beverly’s Heart. He cruised to many ports and loved to travel. Rudy always had a smile and loved to sing and tell stories to anyone who would listen. He was a devoted family man who cherished his friends.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beverly Wood Pacas; sons, Douglas Pacas (Debbie), Michael Pacas (Tim Cagney); daughters, Cecilia Pacas Turner (Larry) and Melinda McNeese Braud (Larry); grandchildren, Neal Zieske (Kate), Jessica Blakely (Trey), Adam Sweet, Eric Sweet, Bethany Turner, and Thomas Turner; great grandchildren, David Zieske, Paul Zieske, Neil Blakely, Harper Blakely, Quaid Blakely, Ezekiel Grant, and Elaya Grant; and a host of nieces and  nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Pacas, Sr. and Melita Millen Pacas; sister, Annie Pacas Wilkinson; his wife of 42 years and mother to his children, Mary Pacas; and his sons, Bobby McNeese; and Kevin McNeese.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 Eighth Avenue Southwest, Magee, Mississippi. On Saturday, May 18, 2024, visitation will be from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church in Mize, Mississippi, with burial to follow in Mize Cemetery. Pastors Tony Keys, Kyle Magee, and Brian Means will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Larry Braud, Buddy Easterling, Russell Kassin, Fred Wood, David Zieske, and Paul Zieske.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe McKissack, Adam Sweet, Eric Sweet, Thomas Turner, and Neal Zieske.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of Rudy’s favorite missions, the Honduras Baptist Dental Mission, P.O. Box 1807, Collins, Mississippi 39428.
