SENATOBIA – Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Jacob Ross of Brookhaven captured medalist honors in the MACJC Event #4 hosted by Northwest Mississippi Community Collage at Wedgewood Country Club in Olive Branch and Back Acres in Senatobia. Ross and first round leader Alex Tull of Northeast Mississippi finished tied at 3-under 141 after regulation. Ross, who started out the day in second place, won on the second playoff hole.


Mississippi Gulf Coast won the team title firing a two-day total of 607 (302 – 305). The Wolfpack, who began the day in third place, shot a two-day total of 616 (303-313) finished second. Hinds (309-310) and East Mississippi (311-308) tied for third at 619. First round leader Northwest Mississippi (300-320) and Northeast Mississippi (305-315) tied for fifth followed by East Central at 628 (307-321) and Itawamba at 638 (326-312).

Individually for the Wolfpack, sophomore Gregory Causey of Petal finished tied for 14th at 154 (76-78), followed by Ryan Desormeaux at 156 (76-80), and Cade Caughman at 165 (79-86).


Joining Ross and Tull on the All-Tournament team were Michael Hendrickson, Connor Crabbe, and Phillip Hickam, all of Gulf Coast; Tristan Hernandez of East Central and J.R. Wright of Itawamba.


Co-Lin returns to action on April 13-14 in the fifth tournament of the season hosted by Meridian Community College at Briarwood Country Club in Meridian.
