Ronald Warren Brown, age 89, passed away on January 18, 2024, after a long illness with Parkinson’s and kidney disease. Ronald was born January 6, 1935, to his parents, Warren Brown and Myrtle Kemp Brown, in Panama City, FL. He was employed by Pan American Petroleum when he moved to Magee, MS, where he met and married Linda Runnels Brown, his wife of 63 years. In later years, he became an insurance agent and worked for several companies before retiring in 1997.

A born athlete and lover of the outdoors, Ronald also played baseball for a semi-pro team in his hometown. In his senior years, he discovered golf and enjoyed playing several times a week with friends. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and loved to share his bounty with friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Mays and Flynn Brown, and sisters, Carolyn and LaNita Willams.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his son, Bart Brown (Maureen) of Lynn Haven, FL; and his daughter, Allison Pelham of Pensacola, FL; along with siblings Geraldine Waldrop, Rupert Brown (Cindy), and Lehman Brown (Sharon) and sister-in-law, Mina Brown. He is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
His family is grateful for the loving care given to him by Hertie Griffith and Ruby Goodwin.
Ronald was a member of Goodwater Baptist Church, where his services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, with visitation at 1:00 PM and funeral services at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Goodwater Cemetery. Bro. Jason Webb will officiate the service.
