Robert loved his country and faithfully served in the United State Air Force until his retirement in 1987. He fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars and received numerous medals, accommodations and awards throughout his military career.
He is survived by his daughters, Carol McBroom Kenner and Cynthia McBroom; sisters, Linda McBroom Ferguson (George) and Pat Bailey Brown.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Chi Sun (Kim) McBroom and sister, Debbie McBroom Wade.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Bro. James Fortenberry will officiate. Burial will follow in the Magee City Cemetery in Magee.
