Robby Wester, 63, entered his heavenly home peacefully on August 30, 2023. He passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Mendenhall, MS.
Robby was born June 7, 1960, in Lake City, FL, to his parents, EW Wester and Roberta “Bobbie” Duke Wester of High Springs, FL. At six years of age, Robby’s family set out on an Alaskan adventure by truck and camper. After two weeks, the family arrived in Anchorage, Alaska, where the family made their home for the next two years. Robby, being the oldest of the four “Wester boys,” led their childhood adventures as they spent two years in the bush wilderness making memories. His family returned to High Springs, FL, where they remained until 1976 when they moved to Mendenhall, MS. Robby attended Mendenhall High School, where he actively participated in FFA and football until his graduation in 1979. Robby’s trademark was that of a truly hard-working man. He began working in his early childhood years and continued until his passing. In 1980, he married his high school sweetheart, Karen Mullen, who remained his forever love for 43 years. Together, they were loving and inspirational parents who cherished their three children. After working several years for Sullivan’s True Value Hardware, Robby decided to establish his own business. In 1993, Robby’s Small Engines opened its’ doors, where Robby and Karen together built a successful business. He worked tirelessly for his customers, who he befriended and appreciated. Robby farmed and enjoyed watching his grandchildren show livestock. He was a devout Christian and worshipped at Corinth Baptist Church. His iconic way with words could most assuredly leave an impression on those who heard his wisdom.
Robby is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Karen; two sons, Brandon Wester (Christi) and Brock Wester (Ashley); and one daughter, Hartley Havard (Derek). He was a proud “Grumpy” to his precious grandchildren, Nick, Anna, and Kai Wester, and Colton and Cora Beth Wester. Robby was the big brother matriarch to his brothers, Ken Wester (Lisa), Benny Wester, Bill Wester (Vicki), and sister, Staci Stingley (Mike). He is survived by his brother-in-law, George Mullen (Janet), and sisters-in-law, Judy Herrington and Sherry Moss. There is a host of nieces and nephews left to cherish his memory as the uncle who always had something to teach them.
Robby is predeceased by his father, EW Wester; mother, Roberta “Bobbie” Wester; father-in-law, George “Bud” Mullen; mother-in-law, Frances Mullen; maternal grandparents, Paul Hunter and Beulah Hunter; paternal grandparents, EW, Sr. and Catherine Wester; brothers-in-law, Frank Herrington and Bobby Moss; nephews, Corey Cantrell and Andrew Cantrell.
Visitation for Robby’s friends will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Corinth Baptist Church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Andy Gipson and Bro. George Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
