Rita Carol Weathersby, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at UMMC Hospital in Jackson. She was born on November 29, 1939, to Marvin and Lois Ware Maddox in Magee, MS.
Rita was retired from the MS State Hwy. Department.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Dora Jane Maddox and Martha Little.
Rita is survived by her husband, Arthur George (A.G./Poss) Weathersby; daughter, Lisa Byrd (Johnny); son, Steve Weathersby (Sandra); brother, Doyle Maddox (Beverly); grandchildren, Christopher Byrd (Kerri), Cassandra Jordan (Beau), Adrian Turner (Mat), Tara Weathersby; great-grandchildren, Molly and Jacob Byrd and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 5-8 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Services are scheduled for Friday, March 30, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Mendenhall with Bro. David Jager, Bro. Gene Erwin and Bro. Ryan May officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
