Rev. Z. T. “Zack” Winningham, 84, of Mendenhall, passed from this life Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at University of Mississippi Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Mendenhall, Bro. Ted Bowlin will officiate. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements, (601)847-4401.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Mendenhall.
He was born and raised in Simpson County MS. He surrendered to the ministry as a Southern Baptist preacher, and served over 65 years in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
Surviving Family Members are his wife of 17 years, Patti Pearson Winningham, Son, Greg Winningham (Marsha), Daughters, Dianne Cardon (Mark), and LaDonna Braswell , Grand Children, Gregory Winningham II, Jonathan Winningham, Trent Cardon, Thomas Braswell II, Guy Ray Braswell II, and Zachary Braswell.
He was preceded by: Wife of 39 years, Donzie Winningham, Parents, William H “Crowder” and Ada Lea Winningham, Siblings, Cleveland Winningham, James Winningham, Thomas Winningham, Johnnie B. Winningham, L.A. Winningham, Myrtis Wallace and Maggie Mae Thames.
Pallbearers are: Grand Children, Gregory Winningham II, Jonathan Winningham, Trent Cardon, Thomas Braswell II, Guy Ray Braswell II, and Zachary Braswell.
