Rev. Lester E. “Pat” McNair, 77, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Magee General Hospital in Magee, MS.

Funeral services for Rev. McNair will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Beulah Baptist Church in Magee, MS with Bro. Mac Phillips, Bro. Allen Smith, Bro. Buddy Keyes, and Bro. Tim Sorey officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Baptist Church in Magee.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.

Bro. McNair was born January 23, 1938 in Simpson County, MS. He served in the United States Marine Corps, and was a pastor and an evangelist.

He is survived by his wife Frances McNair, Mount Olive, MS; daughter Patricia Sorey, and husband, Bro. Tim, Mount Olive, MS;  grandson, Nate Sorey; two brothers, Dr. John McNair and wife Kathy, Carriere, MS; Gary McNair and wife Margaret, Magee, MS; sister, Diane Wigley, Braxton, MS; and sister-in-law, Mary McNair, Magee, MS.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Marie Cook McNair; three brothers, Howard “Bucky” McNair, Dr. Gene McNair and Jimmy McNair, and sister Joyce Love.

Pallbearers will be Al Prince, Joe Welch, Shane Puckett, Mike Taylor, Christopher Puckett, Gary Harper, and Honorary Pallbearers are Nate Sorey, and members of Men’s Sunday School Class
