The Simpson County Republican fundraiser that had been scheduled for August 10 has been postponed until a yet to be determined date. Since the U. S. Senate has postponed its August recess, Senator Wicker will be unable to attend and Lt. Gov. Reeves has now had to cancel his appearance. Therefore, the executive committee has decided to postpone the event.
