The Scriptural passage for today is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” God in the Old Testament often spoke to His people through His prophets. Here, God does so with assurance of His promise of what He will do if they will but acknowledge Him as their Lord and Master, repent, and turn from their wicked ways. It’s the same for us today. If we want to lead more productive and more fulfilling lives, we must stop, reflect, repent, and accept God as our Savior, and pray for our leaders and our nation. Amen!
