The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Isaiah 55:7: “Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.” The prophet of old spoke God’s very Words to His chosen people to encourage them, give them hope for the future if they’d change from their worldly ways and turn to Him. God promised safe deliverance if they would but put their trust in Him and not in foreign idols. We today are given the same warnings and promises. If we repent of our sins and trust in the Lord, He will pardon us of them and will reward us with a crown of life. How can we neglect so great a salvation? We must not! Amen!
