Repent and ask for forgivness

The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Psalm 103:12: “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Because of his close walk with God, the psalmist knew his sins had been forgiven him, and the extent of that forgiveness was immeasurable. That same assurance is ours for the claiming. We must simply repent by asking for forgiveness, and it will be granted. We must then forgive ourselves. That is sometimes the hardest part. We can take solace in knowing that God will likely ask us after our confession, “What sins are you talking about?” He knows before we even ask. Amen!
