People of all ages gathered at the Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex Soccer fields for a day of fun and fellowship!  Us old folks know all about the Red Rider BB gun!  I think every boy my age had a gun.

Under the direction of Jack Everett, the Brotherhood of First Baptist Church held a BB shoot out with Red Ridder BB guns!

Now, I’m going to tell ya’ll, I was a little skeptical when Jack Everett ran the idea by me last year!  But, the first Red Rider Revival BB gun Tournament was a huge success!  The church men said “again” with the tournament.

This year, I had my granddaughters Larkin and Harleigh with me!  The girls had never held a BB gun (not sure they had even held any kind of gun—I thought I have lost my mind and their parents are going to kill me!). No such situation!

Harleigh Honea receives her medal for placing 3rd in her age group

The groups began at 5 and went all the way to a wild shooting grandma—Danielle Dillion!  We had some fabulous shooters in the groups.  Mrs. Margie Buffington held a gun for the first time and even participated in the tournament.  (She did about as well as I do—all dirt—no cans!)

A first time for everything! Scotty signed Marjorie up unbeknownst to her! Scotty said she couldn’t hit the cans because the cans were Coke and not Dr Pepper!

Mr. Dan Johnston assisted Harleigh!  Bless his heart!  But, believe it or not, Harleigh hit a can and actually placed 3rd in her group!

Mr. Robbie Barnes handled Larkin which was an experience.  Larkin also hit a can.  But, the guys in her group were knocking those cans every time.

These two cuties, Banes and Hudson, placed in the young group!  They were all precious!

My friends, today was fun and fellowship!  Mark your calendar for next year.

The children loved this Great Dame—who they promised would not bite!

The Brotherhood provided the guns, set up the lanes, and monitored the event.

If you are looking for a church home, the staff and members of First Baptist Church of Magee will welcome you!  Contact the church office for more info 601-849-3304
