If the goal was to bring thrilling racing action to the heart of Magee, Mississippi, the newly established Saratoga-Flowood R/C (SFRC) Raceway has quickly become a hotbed of excitement for radio control (R/C) racing enthusiasts. Located just outside of Magee, this new, outdoor facility has captured the attention of both seasoned veterans and newcomers to the exhilarating world of R/C racing.

 

On Oct 1st, 2020, after 10 years of operation, the nationally recognized city owned racetrack, Flowood R/C Indoor Park (FRC) in Flowood, MS, ceased operations. In the decade of FRC’s running, the facility and its team hosted locally and nationally recognized feature events, attracting both new hobbyists and professional drivers. Making FRC the gem for R/C in the Mississippi Delta would not have been possible without the patronage and dedication of all the volunteers, racers, and sponsors throughout the years. At its height, FRC was a gem for R/C in the Mississippi Delta. The news of FRC’s closing decimated the local and regional R/C community, but a small group of dedicated racers, hobbyist and enthusiasts quickly banded together to create something new, Saratoga-Flowood R/C Raceway.

Saratoga-Flowood R/C Raceway, owned and operated by local Jimmy Puckett, offers a motocross style designed off-road track that challenges racer of all skill levels and abilities. The racetrack itself features a combination of hairpin turns, long straightaways, and challenging obstacles, providing a dynamic racing experience for participants. From backyard bashers to hobbyists to aspiring professionals, the facility caters to a diverse range of racing enthusiasts.

 

The dedicated team behind Saratoga-Flowood R/C Raceway is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, encouraging families and individuals of all ages to join the adrenaline-fueled fun. The raceway hosts regular competitions, allowing participants to showcase their driving prowess and compete for top honors.

 

With its convenient location near Magee, the Saratoga-Flowood R/C Raceway is rapidly becoming a local hotspot for families and friends looking to bond over the excitement of R/C racing.
