 Raymond Lamar Broadus, 84 of Mendenhall, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2021.  Raymond was born in Pascagoula, MS on February 24, 1937, to Raymond H. and Lois Stewart Broadus.

   Raymond and his wife, Doris Sue, were blessed with 57 years of happy marriage, and had one child, Steven Lamar Broadus, Raymond worked for Ingalls in Pascagoula, MS before moving to Mendenhall, MS in 1974 where he worked in sales for Kinear Door Company.  The greatest joy of his life was opening Steven’s Golf Shop in Ridgeland, MS with his son, where he worked twenty-four years.

   He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he served on many committees and was a Sunday School teacher.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, William H. Broadus, Sister-in-law Verna Broadus and Bob Broadus.

   Raymond is survived by his wife, Doris Sue Broadus, Son, Steven Broadus of Brandon, Grandson, Brooks Broadus of Brandon, Brother, Herman Broadus of Moss Point, MS., Brother and Sister-in-law, Luther and Kay Boggan of Mendenhall, Ms., James and Laurene McLemore of Lexington, Ky., and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

   Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. David Jager will officiate. Special music will be provided by Mr. Luther Boggan.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

   Pallbearers will be Teddy Tidwell, Brian Roach, Adam Boggan, Mark Blair, Brooks Broadus, and Dylan Anglin.
