Raymond G. Thomas, a retired Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. He was born on December 9, 1939, to Robert Alexander Thomas, Sr. and Ada Mae (Spangler) Thomas.
He is survived by his son, John Solotes; daughter, Maggie Solotes; grandson, Johnny Solotes; brothers, Raymond Allen Thomas, Robert Alexander Thomas, Jr.; sister, Lawanna Cook; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Julian (Solotes) Thomas and his parents.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, at Tutor Funeral Home  in Magee from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm, at Calvary Presbyterian Cemetery in Mize, MS with Bishop Shane Cothern officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tutor Funeral Home.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
