The rain is causing delays in the bush-hogging of areas in Magee. The new administration has asked for patience. “We just can’t get the tractors and mowers near the creek and additional areas in the city,” stated Mayor Elect Dale Berry. “We want our city clean and groomed and the rain has prevented work on this project,” stated Berry.

I think we all can identify with the problem of not being able to mow. One day of sunshine and three days of rain keeps the ground so soft that mowers and tractors will “sink.”

On the bright side, check out the McDonald intersection on highway 49. The city was able to get the mowers going on that spot, and it looks great!

I do believe we all have a common goal of cleaning up Magee. Let’s all do our part.
