September 7, 2018 is the last day to qualify for inclusion on the November 6th ballot in Simpson County.
At this time the following have qualified:
District 2 School Board: Patrice Boykin and Robert Gene Everett
District 4 School Board: Stan Bulger and John McDonald
Justice Court Judge Post 2: Tracey Brown and Charles Savell
Constable Post 2: Dusty Brennan, Joe Garner, and Chris Jones
Chancery Judge Post 1: Alan Buffington and David Shoemake
Judge Bowen, Judge Sorey, and Judge Martin are running unopposed.
(A Special Board of Supervisors Meeting will be held Friday, September 7th at 9 AM to see if enough signatures were certified to include Legalized Liquor on the November 6th ballot)
Who knows what Friday will hold!
I just learned 1,754 signature were turned into the Circuit Clerk’s office for certification for the Legalized Liquor to be listed on the November 6th ballot.
