JACKSON, MS (January 4, 2024)— Mississippi Central District Public Service Commissioner De’Keither Stamps was officially sworn into office today, marking the beginning of his term as a dedicated advocate for the people of Central Mississippi.  The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Mississippi State Capitol and Commissioner Stamps was joined by his newly elected colleagues who were also sworn in, Commissioner Chris Brown (Northern District) and Commissioner Wayne Carr (Southern District).

In his role as Mississippi Public Service Commissioner, he will tackle pressing issues such as expanding broadband access, solving the Jackson water crisis and ensuring fair utility rates for all consumers.  His dedication to serving the public and his innovative approach make him a valuable asset to the state of Mississippi.

“I congratulate my fellow Commissioners and look forward to working together to continue to make Mississippi a great place to do business,” Commissioner Stamps said.  “For years and years, I have been a #ManOnAMission in our state and today is one of the greatest honors that I could have never achieved without the support of my family, friends and the voters of the Central District.  I’m excited to get to work and I am committed to work tirelessly to ensure quality services are provided to the citizens of Mississippi.”
