At a special called meeting of the Simpson County School Board, the issue of the new elementary cafeteria floor was discussed. Apparently, there is a defect in the flooring. The contractor repaired some places on the floor. The repairs are not acceptable to our board. The contractor has been sent a letter requesting complete replacement of the flooring. The repairs would be done on a weekend or break when children are not in school.

Adjustments were made to certain legal documents to meet state guidelines.

The next regular school board meeting is scheduled for the second Thursday of the month, October 12th.
