MAGEE, MS  — Robert J. Barnes, President and CEO, PriorityOne Bank recently announced the promotion of Kayla Patterson Ware. Ware will be serving as Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager for PriorityOne’s Magee Retail Center. Barnes stated, “PriorityOne Bank believes our employees are our bank’s most valuable asset and our connection to each community we serve. Kayla is a great example of someone who is dedicated to our community and our customers.”

Barnes also recently announced the promotion of Christina Walker. Walker will be serving as Branch Officer/Assistant Branch Manager for PriorityOne’s Magee Retail Center.  Barnes stated, Christina is a great asset to our bank and works very hard to help our institution succeed, this promotion is well deserved, and we are pleased to have her as a part of the PriorityOne Bank team.”

Kayla, who graduated from Magee High School in 2001; holds an associate degree in business and office technology from Jones College. She completed the 2023 Bankers School for Supervisory Training at the Louisiana School of Banking, a program focused on developing managerial skills for bankers.

 

She has 19 years of experience in banking and has been with PriorityOne Bank since 2004. She has served in many areas of the bank including Customer Service Representative, bank-wide Teller Trainer, Head Teller and most recently, Senior Personal Banker.

 

Kayla is active in the American Bankers Association program, Teach the Children to Save and A Banker in Every Classroom. She was a participant in the 2023 Simpson County Leadership Program and is a member of the PriorityOne Bank Blue Ribbon Society, a peer-to-peer recognition program that spotlights and rewards employees for meeting and exceeding the standards of exceptional service.

 

Kayla and her husband, Zachary H. Ware, reside in Mount Olive, and while they do not have children of their own, they love to spoil their niece, Faith and nephews, Jake, and Thomas. She is a member of Magee Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she is the assistant song leader and assistant treasurer.

 

Christina, who graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College has been with PriorityOne Bank since 2011. She has served in many areas of the bank, including Customer Service Representative, bank-wide Teller Trainer, Head Teller, and most recently Senior Personal Banker.

Christina is a member of the PriorityOne Bank Blue Ribbon Society, a peer-to-peer recognition program that spotlights and rewards employees for meeting and exceeding the standards of exceptional service. She and her husband, Kendell Walker, Sr., live in Pinola and have two children, Kendell Walker Jr. and Kentrell Walker.
