The Dreams of a Senior Citizen Building in Magee is becoming a reality!

Magee Board of Alderman approved to accept a donation of $10,000 from PrioirtyOne Bank to be applied toward the sponsorship of the Senior Citizen Center that will be located in the old YMCA building in East Side. With the sponsorship, the building would be named the PrioirtyOne Senior Center.

The city has been doing their homework and research on having a place for senior citizens. The hope is to move the Meals on Wheels from the Community House to the YMCA area. Games, exercise, and activities would be available for the senior adults.

A senior center will be a great use of the facility. Improvements will be made to the building in the coming months.  Renovations to the building such as replacing windows with new storm and energy efficient windows will not only improve the look of the building but the operation of the building.
