A large crowd was on hand Tuesday, September 5, 2018 at the Magee Board of Alderman meeting.  Residents from Spring Lake subdivision were in attendance with concerns about property that was being considered for annexation. A miscommunication between residents caused a disturbance. Once residents understood that ten homes were not in the plans to be built and only five, peace seemed to be reached. The residents also wanted the covenants that they have in force to play over into the new homes being considered.  Also, the community did not want an access road to be added and wanted property to be zone R1.  Residents only wanted one way in to the subdivision and one way out.  The annexation is still being considered by the board and will be addressed at a later date.  Dr. Tommy Blackledge owns the property in question.  (Earlier article)

Dr. Blackledge stated in his first meeting with the board that the annexation would include 6 acres with  Lake View covenants.
