October is National Physical Therapy Month. Athletic Trainer Jonathan Pierce joined MageeNews.com to discuss common sports injuries among football players and the best ways to prevent those injuries.

For instance, according to Pierce, it is important that coaches teach the correct form for tackling. He said being taught proper techniques can go a long way toward preventing injuries. Another important aspect of preventing injuries is wearing the right gear and equipment, he said.
