Saturday night, Jan.06, 2018, two armed men entered the Dollar General Store located on Hwy 28W just outside of Magee. They held the clerks at gunpoint and demanded money from the register. After the men took an undisclosed amount of money, the pair left on foot. The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Magee Police Dept. were on the scene less than two minutes later. Investigators are currently processing evidence left at the scene along with interviewing any possible witnesses. At this time, no other information is available. Further details may be released as the investigation continues.
