Update on Lily. Dr released her today from ICU and because the hospital had no rooms available he allowed her to return to the hotel which is located inside the hospital. Lily has made incredible progress since yesterday and regaining some of her appetite. Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. My hero

Lily Davis. 03/11/2021

Update on Lily. She seemed to improve during the night and was able to walk a lil more but still not able to eat. Dr says if she can start eating without getting sick he can move her out of ICU. What lil time she is awake she is alert and able to answer all the dr’s questions correctly. A huge thank you to everyone for all the prayers and support. Dr’s quote while shaking his head “ Lily Davis, tough as a rock” !

Lily in New York pre surgery

Info from Lilly’s father Mike Davis——March 9, 2021

Update on Lily. She’s been very nauseated and not able to eat, HR in 120s. Neurosurgeon says this is rebound because of the area of the brain he worked on regulates this. She’s in a good deal of pain but is responsive. They’re changing some medications and getting PT in today to get her up and walking. Dr’s expect her to be in ICU longer than expected. Thank you all for your prayers and concern.

The surgery is complete.  She will be moved to ICU.  April hopes to see her by 1 o’clock.

A very difficult surgery.

In January, I posted a prayer request for Lilly Davis.

(April, Lilly’s mother wrote this in January)

Lilly is having debilitating headaches, numbness and difficulty walking sometimes due to Chiari malformation that she was born with. Basically,  the base of her brain is protruding from the hole at the base of her skull. Neuro team here seems to be very good. They’re trying a lot of different things to help her headaches. Surgery is last resort.

Well, Lilly has reached the last resort…surgery.

She is in New York at New York Presbyterian  having surgery on her brain today, Monday, March 8, 2021.

Prayers are needed.

Lilly is a freshman at Simpson Academy

She is the daughter of April Garner and Mike Davis and granddaughter to Chuck Akers and Claudette Cliburn (Mendenhall).

I will keep you updated.
