George Young suffered a heart attack today (Wednesday) and was taken to St D. He will have a heart cath in the morning.

George is a friend to almost everyone in Magee…he is a huge Trojan supporter…all baseball city teams…and a good will ambassador for Magee. George travels all over Magee in his motorized wheel chair.

I will update on his condition tomorrow.

UPDATE:  Thursday night

Update on George Young

Plans had been for George to have stints put in his heart today, but due to some issues the operation was postponed until Friday.

I was told earlier today that George was going to have open heart surgery…but received a call late this afternoon and that may have changed. The doctor’s will possibly go back to the stints.

I know all of this is jumbled, but one time I hear one thing…then another update comes along…but what I do know is that George needs our prayers. He has been told that our MageeNews prayer warriors are “praying him up”…he was overwhelmed.

Will update as info becomes available.

Friday Update:

George received two stints today.  He did well but is still in recovery.  Again, thank you for your continued prayers.
