The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Proverbs 16:7: “When a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, He makes even his enemies live at peace with him.” I feel this to be a beautiful statement of the power of God to heal wounds, smooth troubled waters, and to mend fences. When we allow God to be first and foremost in our lives, the Holy Spirit is given full rein to take charge and to make right things we could never find a way to correct. My ongoing prayer is “Let there be less of me and more of Thee, Lord.” When we relinquish control, the Holy Spirit takes over, and amazing things happen. Give it a try. Amen!
