By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 1st Timothy 4:9-10: “This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, Who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.” The gospel writer Timothy in speaking to early Christians, reminding them that it is God in whom we place our trust, knowing that He will sustain and keep us as the Good Shepherd. We need not fear what men might do to us. We are kept “under His wings” and His watchful eye. Heaven is our home, not this earthly one. Together, we can join in singing that beloved old gospel song “Heaven Will Surely Be Worth It All.” “Worth all the sorrow that here befalls. After this life with all its strife, Heaven will surely be worth it all.” Amen!
Be sure to share the love, joy, and kindness today as you go about your daily rounds and the common tasks.
