Penelope Smith passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 75 years old. She was born on August 19, 1949, to Wallace Smith and Sue Alexander Smith in Virginia.
Penny was always the life of the party and so much fun to be around. She had a huge heart and cared deeply. She worked in the medical field for over thirty years. She also managed Town Creek Saloon for years. She loved her dogs and family fiercely. She enjoyed watching football and loved anything Willie Nelson. She would travel anywhere within 400 miles to hear him in concert.
She is survived by her nephew, Franklin Phillips (Jeanie), and brother-in-law, Tony Phillips, along with many friends with whom she made lasting friendships during her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Sue Alexander Smith, and sister, Teri S. Phillips.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM.
